The Price Was (Just) Wrong?

If pricing were the only variable regarding the how and why of HP’s TouchPad being such a failure wouldn’t other ‘me too’ vendors within this space be following suit?

Clearly; more than just what the firm charged was an issue at-hand here… The availability of third-party applications; how it was marketed; network / carrier plans; a growing list of knock-off entrants; the iPad’s overall popularity, etc. are / were also major factors that negatively impacted this product’s short-lived life-cycle.

Granted, the TouchPad did generate a lot of buzz; however, it was only when said product was deeply discounted… which hardly warrants it being considered a worthy opponent!
