Wouldn’t it be nice (even Utopian) if the FCC’s ‘net Neutrality ruling was just enacted and America’s Internet access was finally treated like a Public Utility?

Hurdles…

The FCC’s ‘net Neutrality ruling passed the first (of unfortunately what looks to be many) Telecommunication Industry objections as it was upheld in court to proceed as enacted (at this juncture).

Not This Time?

According to the FCC’s Chairman, lawsuits will not beat ‘net Neutrality this time (again proving how inane this entire exercise is/was in and as far as why wasn’t America’s ‘next access determined as a Public Utility months/years ago?)

Let’s Hope…

However, idealistic… let’s hope that Google’s initiative to take on America’s Telecom Industry is not only real but actually does something that they have failed woefully to do: drive prices down; increase access and services through increased competition!
