Plastic or Virtual?

Old habits obviously die hard… Major credit card companies are finding just how challenging it is to get consumers to give up their plastic for mobile payments. NFC (a viable technology that’s been both proven as well as has existed for some time now) hasn’t been adopted by Apple (which is unlikely as it now stands) which is another reason why the adoption rates have moved at such a glacial-pace. Even with Samsung pushing this initiative it’s still as undetermined whether this approach will be the impetus for a marked shift whereas mobile wallets become more ubiquitous.

Your Worst (Tablet) Nightmare?

Office + Tablet(s) = Massive Subscription Revenue?

How else could it work? Given all of the updates required, a Tablet would essentially be ‘bricked’ upon being booted the first-time!

Byte Appétit!

H.A.L. would and is obviously still jealous as I.B.M. is using Watson to design a menu co-designed between said computer and a trained chef. You’re 86’ed!

Well, not exactly… Nevertheless, for those that engage in on-line piracy (in America) your ISP is now officially tracking you (perhaps more so than previously anyway).

Bespectacled.

For the vision-impaired, this technology could be immensely beneficial. For a Minority Report purview of the world at-large, this could easily be called into question… So, what will the end-result be: more people walking in semi-zombie state from staring at a screen (and not paying attention otherwise) and/or a truly groundbreaking offering?

Just Another Day.

With all of the announcements regarding firms being hacked (Microsoft’s the latest) is it a ‘fair’ question to ask: how many global governmental agencies, companies, military branches, etc. has America hacked? Perhaps an unpopular notion for those who are fiercely nationalistic but one that should at least be given pause for consideration…
