The first Intel-powered Smartphones are set to launch in India (with Lava: a local manufacturer / one of the fastest growing homegrown companies) next week. Given Intel’s laggard status (within this space); Motorola’s long-slide and Google’s desire to take-on Apple this is both a significant step and a potential metric for gauging how (the first two of these parties at a minimum) they might fair moving forward (presumably into other global markets).
