Sony’s planned move allowing PlayStation Now subscribers to play games without requiring a console is an excellent step towards opening their platform to third-party vendors (i.e., applications that run on Smartphones and/or Tablets) which could be a harbinger for Microsoft and Nintendo to follow suit.
