Samsung’s Z1 Smartphone powered by their homegrown OS is the firm’s earnest attempt to decouple itself from being dependent on Google’s Android OS. Outside of South Korea where a strong degree of nationalism denotes allegiance the the nation’s domestically-spawned ‘Chaebols’, the question is: will this bet payoff?
