Getting The Heisman!
The on-going battle between Apple and Samsung (in America most certainly) is showing little sign of abating… And, given today’s ruling it looks to have taken another legal-turn in Apple’s favor (which will clearly be contested by Samsung given the injunction banning sales of their flagship product within the nation).

Although Apple announced that iTunes will expand into 9 additional Asian nations it should come as no surprise that China and India were omitted (due most likely to licensing / piracy-issues).

Making Their Own Smartphone…
With the release of their new Surface tablet, rumor has it that Redmond will actually produce their own hardware e.g., an actual Microsoft Smartphone. Why not… everyone else seems to making one now, right?

Growth Through Acquisition…
By dropping $1 billion, Microsoft has now found itself with another (what it hopes / must have assessed to be) asset to expand their limited presence within the social networking space (with Yammer this time ’round). That said, much like Skype, how the firm leverages and utilizes said acquisition is yet to be determined.
