Aside from the political dust-up / fall-out regarding the Sony corporate-hacking, it seems that a new-term might have been coined (or, at a minimum, brought to the fore) in cyber-vandalism.

Should it really come as any surprise that Apple (yes, the former non-Microsoft that seems to now be more akin to Redmond than different) worked to block all their competition’s access to the iPod?

Arguably, Facebook’s arrogance regarding the fact that end-users are unable to ‘dislike’ something is bad form. Granted, ‘disliking’ someone’s content could be done maliciously. Conversely, counting bogus ‘likes’ (which the firm has also been criticized for) is not good form.

While Google’s News will shutter their service in Spain (effective December 16th) the fallout could be larger in and as far as yet another limitation on consumer media access (at a time when the Mass Media is not only continually biased but access to credible media resources continues to dwindle…)

Wow, NASA’s New Horizons Spacecraft is moving at light speed… and is “2.9 billions miles from Earth and over 162 million miles from Pluto…” it’s amazing that 4 hours and 26 minutes later a signal was received that the probe had switched from ‘hibernation’ to ‘active’ mode! Way to go NASA – if we can pull off this intergalactic-feat just think what we can / could do by focusing the same energies on Earth!

NASA’s New Horizons space Probe is now reportedly within striking distance of Pluto – way to go – let’s hope the mission is incredibly successful!
